As Techcrunch reported, almost half of all U.S. online traffic during Black Friday came from mobile devices. Purchases made on mobile devices increased by 25% this year, accounting for 26% of all online purchases. Not only did mobile shoppers help crash Best Buy’s website, but for the first time ever mobile made up more than half of all traffic to online retailers websites on Thanksgiving Day. Also, according to VentureBeat, global mobile payments made with PayPal increased 56% compared to last year.
