Today, comScore announced findings from its tablet measurement service and the data points to consumers increased usage and adoption of tablets in the U.S. The study found that one in four smartphone owners now use tablets and one in ten users watched video content on their tablet daily.
As comScore SVP of Mobile Mark Donovan stated in the press release:
“Tablets are one of the most rapidly adopted consumer technologies in history and are poised to fundamentally disrupt the way people engage with the digital world both on-the-go and perhaps most notably, in the home. It’s not surprising to see that once consumers get their hands on their first tablet, they are using them for any number of media habits including TV viewing.”
