Design of Plan for Reallocating Spectrum Important to Incentive Auction Success

Today, Mobile Future filed comments at the Federal Communications Commission asking the government agency to adopt the 600 MHz band plan proposed by a broad consensus of wireless providers, broadcasters, and equipment manufacturers.

A successful incentive auction is critical to freeing up underused airwaves for mobile services that consumers increasingly rely on.  One key component of the auction is how to reallocate the broadcast spectrum.  A growing number of industry stakeholders have joined around a plan that maximizes the public interest benefits of the spectrum – and that plan should be adopted by the FCC without significant revision.
