Recently, the Wall Street Journal highlighted Jawbone’s newly launched app that estimates how a user’s caffeine intake affects their sleeping patterns. The free app, Up Coffee, syncs with Jawbone’s Up and Up24 fitness bands to give users personalized estimates on how much sleep they are losing due to their caffeine consumption. Users log their caffeine intake and the app will use sleep data collected by the bands to estimate how much sleep is lost for every 100mg of caffeine consumed. For those who don’t own one of Jawbone’s wearable sleep and fitness trackers, the app also allows users to enter sleep data manually to get the same estimates.
