House Passes Bill to Prevent Taxes on Internet Access

On Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives took a good step forward for American broadband consumers by passing H.R. 3084, legislation to permanently ban states from imposing taxes on Internet access or adding discriminatory taxes on e-commerce. The current tax moratorium is set to expire November 1 and we are hopeful the U.S. Senate will pass similar legislation soon.
