How those who are deaf or hard of hearing communicate could soon be transformed by a new invention by MotionSavvy. The device, Uni, uses a tablet and MotionSavvy software so those who speak sign language can communicate with individuals who don’t. How does it work? As Time reports, the device interprets sign language using cameras and translates it into spoken word with an automated voice. Then, with the help of a voice recognition tool, Uni turns spoken word into text.
