Today, the Progressive Policy Institute issued a new report by Chief Economic Strategist Michael Mandel titled, “Long-term U.S. Productivity Growth and Mobile Broadband: The Road Ahead.” The paper finds that by 2030, the economic impact of wireless networks could add approximately $2.7 trillion dollars the U.S. GDP. The report stresses the continuing need for additional wireless spectrum, both licensed and unlicensed, as well as support for infrastructure deployment. The availability of high-speed mobile broadband adds up to good news for the U.S. economy and our nation’s consumers – who are always hungry for new technology and mobile innovation.
