Mobile Future Statement on FCC Commissioner McDowell’s Departure

WASHINGTON, DC– FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell today announced his exit from the Commission after nearly seven years of service. The following statement should be attributed to Jonathan Spalter, chairman of Mobile Future:

Since Commissioner McDowell arrived at the FCC nearly seven years ago, the communications sector has remained a beacon of innovation for American consumers and for our economy.   His clear vision for the potential and transformative impact of wireless technology, as well as his unwavering beliefs in market-driven solutions, has had a significant impact in helping today’s vibrant communications ecosystem thrive. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for his service at the Commission, and I wish him all of the best in his future endeavors.
