WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, Senators John Thune (R-SD) and Bill Nelson (D-FL) introduced the MOBILE NOW Act, which aims to make more spectrum available for mobile use and to streamline rules for infrastructure deployment.
The following statement should be attributed to Jonathan Spalter, chair of Mobile Future:
“The bipartisan MOBILE NOW Act is an important effort to address the spectrum needs for the nation. With 5G connectivity and all that it promises on the not too distant horizon and consumer demand continuing to grow at a record clip, policymakers must move swiftly to help free up spectrum to ensure the U.S. remains at the forefront of the mobile revolution. We appreciate Chairman Thune and Senator Nelson’s leadership with this bill and look forward to working with them on this and other efforts to make the spectrum available that will be needed to meet consumer demand.”
