WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Senate Commerce Committee today reported out S.911, The Public Safety Spectrum and Wireless Innovation Act, sponsored by Chairman Jay Rockefeller and Ranking Member Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Mobile Future applauds Senators Rockefeller and Hutchison for their bi-partisan leadership on this important piece of spectrum legislation. We appreciate the Committee’s clear recognition that we must urgently make additional wireless spectrum available to fuel our technology-driven economy. We strongly urge lawmakers to move this legislation quickly through the process to continue to spur investment, innovation and new economic opportunities.
