This week marks Computer Science Education Week and for the first time Code.org is producing the event and spreading The Hour of Code movement. With the goal of expanding computer science education and helping anyone, anywhere learn how to code, Code.org has spread Hour of Code events to over 180 countries and 50 million students. This initiative is particularly noteworthy because more than half of all STEM jobs are projected to be in computer science-related fields by 2020, according to Code.org. Yesterday was the 1-year anniversary of the first Hour of Code, and President Obama shared the below message to encourage even more students to join the movement this year.
