Voters Increasingly Turn To Mobile + Social For Political Info

Today is Election Day and across the country Americans are heading to the polls to cast their vote, most likely with mobile devices in tow. According to a recently released report by the Pew Research Center, cell phones and social media are an increasingly favored way voters get political news and information.

As the report highlighted:

  • 40% of voters have used their mobile device to track political news or a campaign this year, up from 15% in 2010
  •  21% follow political figures on social media, up from 6% in 2010
