Wireless Infrastructure Streamlining Order Is Critical for U.S. Leadership in 5G

March 22, 2018

WASHINGTON, DC – In response to the FCC’s approval of the Wireless Infrastructure Streamlining Order, the following statement should be attributed to Rob McDowell, Chief Public Policy Advisor of Mobile Future:

“The U.S. led the world in 4G deployment and the Commission’s approval of the Wireless Infrastructure Streamlining Order is critical to secure our leadership in 5G. By easing the roadblocks in federal historic and environmental reviews processes, the Commission has taken action to significantly lower the cost to deploy small cells and quickly deliver new services to communities across America. These commonsense reforms will help us create a clear roadmap to the economic opportunity in our 5G future.”
